Doris Musick

 

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:   

Ms. Musick has five books to her credit; an historical fiction dating from 1792 through 1830, entitled "The Starched Apron" was released in 2005.  Her second book, "Up the Water Spout," brings us to Washington County, VA and includes portions of Greene County, TN  whereas the third book, "Come Saturday," is set entirely in Russell County,VA during the depression years.  Following is "ZENITHS & ZEPHYRS, Mountain Peaks and Soft Breezes," an inspiring collection out in 2009, and last a mystery novel,  "First Ten Chapters," set in the mountains near Boone and Blowing Rock, NC released in 2010.

 

After many years of residence in a lakeside community knows as Brandermill just outside Richmond, VA, Musick and her husband opted for early retirement and a return to the mountains they both love.  She now resides in a secluded section of Russell County in a home she shares with husband and numerous pets

 

For a period of years Musick was Field Editor for COUNTRY Magazine.  She continues to be a regular contributor and her articles appear several times each year.   Her hobbies include painting and her works are often a part of various book-signing events.
